Statement of Inquiry: Ideology may drive the creation of new cultures and governmental systems
Task Description SOLO option: You will identify a current/modern ideology (with help from the teacher) and analyze the broader impact on the society in which that ideology exists. You must also include how your chosen ideology may have impacted other communities, do not ignore the other perspectives affected by the ideology. Key element to this is to include both cultural/social and political outcomes of the ideology. Options for demonstration of understanding are varied and students will have many choices, i.e. newscast, debate, interview, newspaper article, manifesto, fictional story, etc..
You will submit 2* items:
Regardless of the medium you choose to demonstrate your understanding, you are still completing an ‘argumentative essay’. This project is an argument defending how your chosen ideology is aligned with the statement of inquiry. You are defending/arguing how your current/modern ideology had a significant impact culturally, politically, and economically on society. Within your defense/argument, you are still expected to:
You will submit 2* items:
- final project
- *script [if you choose to demonstrate your understanding using an audio or visual format, you will need to submit the script of your final project]
- organization document

*** Because there are hundreds and thousands of ideologies to choose from, when choosing an ideology, I want you to stay away from religious, political, economic, and social ideologies. I want you to think outside the box.
