Through a very informal 'presentation', you will teach your classmates about your assigned production method. This is what I want you to do:
- Create an 6 slide presentation, each slide should address one of the six questions below for your assigned production method.
- Thoroughly explain and describe your production method, Include a definition.
- Explain how and/or why your production method is effective.
- Ideally, when should it be implemented?
- Is your production method labor or capital intensive?
- What are the advantages of your production method?
- What are the disadvantages of your production method?
- Find a video of your production method in action.
- Contextualize your production method. Using a real business, explain how how and why the production method is implemented.
- 5-10 min to present and address your slides to the class [we will do this from your seats, no one is getting up in front of the class]
Things to consider:
- A good slide presentation will have a minimal amount of words. If your slide contains a lot of words then your audience is not listening to you, instead they’re too busy reading your slide.
- Your slides should contain visuals, visuals that help provide context to what you are telling your audience.
- If you learned something, then you don’t need a script or notes to refer to, because you learned it and not memorized it
